What is an AGM battery and which vehicles use it?
AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries are sealed lead-acid batteries in which the electrolyte is held in fiberglass mats. Designed for start-stop vehicles and cars with high electrical loads, they are resistant to deep discharge and offer fast charge acceptance.

What is an EFB battery? EFB vs AGM – what is the difference?
EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery) batteries are a reinforced version of conventional flooded batteries, suitable for entry-level start-stop vehicles. AGM batteries deliver higher cycle life and charge acceptance; vehicles with advanced systems such as regenerative braking require AGM.

What is a gel battery and where is it used?
Gel batteries are maintenance-free batteries in which the electrolyte is immobilized in gel form. Resistant to vibration and high temperatures, they are preferred in solar energy systems, RVs and caravans, boats and UPS applications.
